ESG & Sustainability

Driving sustainability for future generations

Our Commitment to ESG & Sustainability

For all of us at Copperleaf, helping our clients deliver on their ESG commitments advances our own fundamental purpose of building a better world, one decision at a time.

We believe delivering high performance as an organization and driving sustainability go hand in hand. And it all comes down to the decisions being made every day. We help organizations develop quantitative methods to prioritize decisions to address ESG goals. The Copperleaf Value Framework defines “what an organization values” beyond just financial objectives. It encompasses factors related to stewardship, sustainability, service levels, risk categories, and more—allowing organizations to consider the impact of all of these factors when making trade-off decisions.

Our ESG Commitments

Setting our own serious commitments for how we operate is critical to our business success and fueled by our culture. Overall, we’re trying to leave the world a better place than we found it through our work, our solutions, and our actions inside and outside of work. We’re making tangible progress towards our own ESG commitments in these areas.

Copperleaf 2022 ESG Report

At Copperleaf, we’re dedicated to making a positive impact on our people, clients, communities, and the planet.

The Copperleaf ESG Report summarizes our commitment to sustainability and accountability, and shares the highlights of our ESG progress and plans. The Report includes our responses to the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations, which helps companies produce consistent, comparable, clear, and reliable climate-related disclosures.

Copperleaf goes carbon neutral

We’re always looking for new ways to become a more sustainable business, especially as we grow as a company. After doing research, we realized that carbon offsetting is the most immediate way to make a positive environmental impact while we continue to work on other ways to further reduce our carbon footprint.

The projects we invested in will offset over 2,100 tons of carbon emissions—the equivalent of our company’s total annual carbon footprint.

The Copperleaf Value Framework incorporates ESG commitments

Our clients told us they needed a transparent, consistent framework for evaluating decisions that align with their financial objectives and strategy, while also delivering on their ESG goals. The Copperleaf Value Framework gives organizations the ability to define value in their own terms and quantify the impact of each opportunity at any point in time.

Copperleaf Green Team

Our Green Team has a mission to minimize Copperleaf’s environmental footprint, helping us all make more responsible choices through initiatives that promote awareness, participation, and behavioral change. We have committed to a goal of maintaining carbon neutrality as a company, and we work in buildings that have earned LEED Platinum status.

By incorporating environmental and social criteria into investment decision making, we’re helping organizations build resilient, successful businesses that create long-term value for both people and the planet.
