Copperleaf Signs with UN Global Compact Network Malaysia and Brunei
Vancouver, BC, September 7, 2023—Copperleaf® Technologies Inc. (TSX:CPLF) (“Copperleaf” or the “Company”) announces it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UN Global Compact Network Malaysia and Brunei (UNGCMYB) to advance Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) efforts in the region.
The objective of the MoU between Copperleaf and UNGCMYB is to establish a strategic collaboration on shared priorities and develop a common action plan towards accelerating the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the Malaysian private sector. This plan includes raising awareness of the importance of incorporating sustainability criteria into decision making and expanding the definition of “value” to include ESG factors.
Copperleaf joined the UN Global Compact (UNGC) as a signatory in November 2022 to build on its commitment to ESG goals, and to support the UN’s aspirations of transforming our society and the environment through principled business. Copperleaf will publish its first UNGC Communication on Progress (COP) in the coming months.
