Copperleaf's RAD Initiative Raises Over $2,000 at TechPong 2018By Barry Quart
This fall, we continued our Random Acts of Delight (RAD) by returning to defend our title at TechPong, held at the TELUS World of Science. Every year, TechPong brings together the Vancouver tech industry to compete in an epic ping pong tournament to raise money for charitable causes.
This year, Team Copperleaf™ chose to raise money for the Huntington Society of Canada, which delivers individual and group counselling services to support individuals and families living with Huntington’s Disease. They also fund medical research to slow or stop the progression of the disease. As this cause impacted a fellow Copperleafer, it was an amazing opportunity to bring our team together to support a worthy cause that was near to our hearts.
Last year our talented Rippu, smashed her way through the competition to be crowned the TechPong singles champion. This year, James Ensom and George Feng made up our doubles team and the Rippu returned to represent in the singles competition! Congratulations to Rippu on her 2nd place finish, and to James and George who played all the way to the semi-finals! They played hard and did us proud, and we all had a blast cheering them on.
The Copperleaf RAD initiative is a key part of our Copperleaf culture that provides a means to give back to the community and support charitable causes that really matter to our team. Learn more about the Copperleaf Culture here.
